Owners of the new iPhone Duo must purchase specific power accessories to achieve the device's maximum charging speeds. Apple support documentation released on October 23, 2026, outlines the exact hardware required to reach the phone's peak performance benchmarks. Without these components, users will not see the rapid battery refills advertised by the manufacturer.

The company previously introduced the iPhone Duo with dual battery technology. Apple initially highlighted the phone's ability to charge quickly but did not immediately specify the exact adapter wattage needed. The new guidance clarifies that the device supports both wired and wireless fast charging, though the speed varies by connection type.

For wired charging, the phone can reach 50 percent battery in approximately 20 minutes. This speed requires the included USB-C cable and a power adapter rated for 60W or more. Apple lists its 40W Dynamic Power Adapter with 60W Max as one option, currently priced at $34. Third-party adapters are also acceptable if they feature Adjustable Voltage Supply and support USB Power Delivery 3.2.

Wireless charging is slower, with the device reaching 50 percent in about 30 minutes. This requires a MagSafe Charger, listed at $30, or a third-party adapter rated at 35W or higher. Apple's documentation identifies specific compatible adapters from Apple and Anker. Users seeking longer cables can purchase Apple's official 2-meter USB-C cable, which is available at a discount.

The publication noted that third-party chargers often provide better value than Apple's first-party options. The writer identified Anker's 100W charging brick as a versatile choice for users with multiple Apple devices. The report concludes by inviting readers to share their preferred charging setups in the comment section.
