Jay-Z will perform the Super Bowl LXI Halftime Show on Feb. 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. The NFL, Apple Music, and the rapper announced the selection on Monday.
Roc Nation, Jay-Z's company, has produced the halftime performances since 2019. The firm recently signed a five-year extension that keeps it in charge of the show through 2029. Since taking over, the productions have shifted toward hip-hop and rap artists. The 2026 show in Santa Clara, California, featured Bad Bunny with guests Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin.
Los Angeles hosts the 2027 game for the first time since 2022. That year's lineup included Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar, with appearances by 50 Cent and Anderson .Paak. Recent performers also include Kendrick Lamar and SZA in 2025, Usher in 2024, and Rihanna in 2023.
Although Jay-Z has never previously performed at the Super Bowl, he remains connected to the league and many past artists. The 25-time Grammy winner is currently on the Jay-Z 30 Tour. The tour marks the 30th anniversary of his debut album Reasonable Doubt and the 25th anniversary of The Blueprint.
The tour began in July with three nights at Yankee Stadium. It included two shows in London and one in Paris in September. Jay-Z held his final scheduled concert dates on Oct. 23 and 24 at SoFi Stadium. Those shows occur at the same venue where he will perform in February.
