Israel faces a growing list of international sanctions. Against that backdrop, Yashar party chairman Gadi Eisenkot attacked Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's proposal for alternative financial mechanisms.

On Saturday, Eisenkot posted a campaign video on X arguing that the prime minister's plan proves he has economically destroyed the country. The ad opens with the warning that all of the nation's money is at risk. It then cuts to footage from a previous Channel 10 interview where Netanyahu stated Israel must prepare for an alternative economy due to those sanctions.

The video focuses heavily on Netanyahu's acknowledgment of blockchain technology. In the interview, the prime minister said digital finance would certainly be part of his plan. He added that he had already asked for a plan to be prepared for that.

Eisenkot's campaign dubbed the concept Bibicoin. The video argues that such a mechanism would destroy Israel. It claims the resulting system would mirror the economies of North Korea and Iran.

The ad lists specific sectors that would suffer under this model. It cites the end of high tech, healthcare, and security. Eisenkot also questioned how the global high tech industry would invest in Israeli companies if digital currency were the only method available.

In a separate post on the same platform, Eisenkot took a more personal tone. He wrote that Netanyahu admits his policy leads to international isolation. He argued this isolation would create economic sanctions that shake the economy and the market, leading to a collapse of national security.

The exchange centers on Netanyahu's own words from the Channel 10 interview. Eisenkot uses those comments to frame the contingency planning as an admission of economic failure.
