Retailer Newegg has reduced the price of its ABS-branded Stratos II Ruby pre-built gaming computer by $450, bringing the system to $2,549.99. The machine combines an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Ti graphics card, backed by 32GB of DDR5 memory. ABS operates as Newegg's own brand, which accounts for the frequency of its listings on the retailer's site. The Stratos II Ruby is also the lowest-priced RTX 5070 Ti gaming PC currently stocked by Newegg, according to a Tom's Hardware report dated 2026-10-23.
The Ryzen 7 9800X3D is an eight-core processor built around AMD's 3D V-Cache design, which expands available L3 cache to 96MB. A larger cache cuts down on how often the chip must reach for slower system memory, reducing latency and holding frame rates steady. Tom's Hardware no longer ranks the processor at the top of its CPU benchmarks but places it very close, and states that no Intel processor matches an X3D part for gaming performance.
The graphics card is a current-generation Nvidia Blackwell part carrying 8,960 CUDA cores and 16GB of GDDR7 video memory. It is positioned for 1440p and 4K play and supports Nvidia features including DLSS with multi-frame generation. Tom's Hardware reports the card can run 4K gaming with ray tracing in current titles using multi-frame generation where needed, though players may need to adjust settings in the most demanding games at that resolution. Its 16GB of video memory exceeds the 8GB on the lower-end RTX 5060 and RTX 5050.
Memory is handled by two 16GB G.Skill Ripjaws M5 Neo RGB modules running at 6,000 MT/s. Storage comes from a 2TB Team Group NV5000 M.2 SSD with Gen 4 speeds. Connectivity covers Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3 and Ethernet, while a Bitspower 240mm all-in-one liquid cooler handles processor cooling.
Tom's Hardware called the $2,549.99 price a strong one for the current market, citing both the $450 reduction and the pairing of the 9800X3D with the RTX 5070 Ti.
