Owners of certain Galaxy phones and tablets will receive the Android 17-based One UI 9 software during October and November 2026, according to a schedule Samsung Japan issued. Samsung first released One UI 9 in September on the Galaxy S26 series, and the company has since distributed it to several devices from the prior generation.

Samsung Japan published an official list naming the additional smartphones and tablets receiving the update. The schedule applies to Japan, while the set of eligible devices is expected to carry over worldwide. The roster includes the Galaxy S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra, the Galaxy S25 and S25 Ultra, the Galaxy S24 and S24 Ultra, the Galaxy S24 FE, and the Galaxy S23 and S23 Ultra.

Foldable models on the list are the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7, Z Fold 6, Z Flip 6, Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5. Samsung also named mid-range phones: the Galaxy A57, A55, A54, A36 and A25.

Tablets in the lineup include the Galaxy Tab S11 and S11 Ultra, the Tab S10, S10+ and S10 Ultra, the Tab S10 FE and S10 FE+, the Tab S10 Lite, the Tab S9, S9+ and S9 Ultra, and the Tab S9 FE and S9 FE+. The Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2024), Tab A11, Tab A11+/5G and Tab Active 5 Pro also appear in Samsung Japan's roster.

Samsung's published list is not complete. It omits the Plus versions of recent Galaxy S flagship phones, many Galaxy A models and devices sold in other regions. Entry-level devices are likely to receive the software through December 2026 and January 2027, according to the company's rollout plan.

Samsung said the updates will arrive, at least in Japan, across October and November 2026.
