The Los Angeles Rams defeated the Los Angeles Chargers 24 to 9 on Sunday, snapping a sluggish first half to claim their second straight win of the season.

The victory marked a turning point for the Rams, who improved to 4-4, while the Chargers fell to 0-7, extending their worst start since 2000.

Both teams began the game with defensive pressure, as early interceptions stalled each offense. Quentin Lake returned a pick by Justin Herbert 45 yards to set up the Rams' opening score.

The Rams failed to gain a first down on their first five drives, a career first for head coach Sean McVay. They trailed 9-3 until a 40-yard pass to Tutu Atwell finally moved the chains.

Kyren Williams ran in for a touchdown with seconds left in the first half, cutting the deficit. In the second half, the Rams executed three touchdown drives to take control.

Blake Corum rushed for 73 yards, including a 23-yard score, while Puka Nacua caught 11 passes for 80 yards and a touchdown. Matthew Stafford completed passes for 157 yards and a score for the Rams.

Justin Herbert threw for 257 yards but also picked off twice, continuing a trend of one interception per game this season. The Chargers' offense managed 295 yards, yet they remain the only winless team in the NFL. Coach Mike McDaniel retained play-calling duties despite the record.
